Due to the increase in demand for Thrust Boring installations and the increase in length and diameter required by clients UEA has invested in a new thrust boring machine to add to the existing 2 units. The purchase of the McLaughlin McL 36/42 auger boring unit, through Vermeer Australia, will provide UEA with more horsepower enabling bigger diameters to be installed (up to 1080mm steel casing) over longer distances (up to 80 metres). With state of the art technology and approved safety systems the McLaughlin unit will enable UEA to achieve on grade bores with increased accuracy. The machine will be heading to Cairns to install 1080mm steel case as part of UEA’s ongoing contract with Bailey Civil.
