UEA Electrical Completes Level 3 Design for Asset Relocation for Alexandria Property Development

Posted 6 February 2014

UEA Electrical was engaged as the Level 3 Accredited Service Provider for a new development at Alexandria in Sydney. The contract encompasses the electrical design and relocation of existing underground and overhead assets in preparation for building.

Part of the development project involves construction of a new traffic roundabout. A street lighting redesign and repositioning of existing infrastructure formed a key part of UEA Electrical’s role. The equipment concerned consisted of overhead Low Voltage, Underground & Overhead Communication Assets (Pilot & Fibre Cables) and underground High Voltage Assets.

Due to the numerous and diverse services located at and beneath the road reserve, detailed consultation was required between UEA, the NSW power authority and other public asset owners, to ensure sufficient room for all the new and relocated assets in the available space.

The UEA Electrical team efficiently coordinated the preliminary planning stages among the authorities concerned, with project certification obtained in January 2014. Due to the professional fulfilment of asset relocation design and approvals, the development is able to commence without delay.
