UEA Electrical has commissioned two indoor substations with a total capacity of 4.5MVA which will manage the electrical supply for the new 82,015sqm Metcash NSW Distribution Centre. The distribution centre, which is one of the largest industrial developments to be undertaken this year, is being developed by Goodman Australia and is located within the “Bungarribee” Industrial Estate at Huntingwood West.

UEA Electrical was contracted to work on the ‘greenfield’ industrial subdivision as the Level 1 ASP and Level 3 ASP. UEA completed the electrical design and construction of the electrical infrastructure within the new estate including:
• street lighting,
• trenching and conduit installation,
• cable hauling 11kV XLPE cables,
• low voltage cables, and
• the installation of poles and overhead network.

The substations were successfully commissioned on time and on budget.
