Posted 14 March 2014

Leading Australian retail property developer, Stockland, has engaged UEA Electrical to install a new 11kV feeder as part of the company’s Wetherill Park Shopping Centre expansion.

UEA will excavate and install new conduits within the retail site. The project also requires significant excavation and conduit proving along the 1200 meter route, including a 150 metre underbore beneath the local bus transitway..

Stage two involves installing 1200 metres of 3 core 240mm Copper XLPE cable and 560m of 3 core 240mm Aluminium XLPE cable from the Bossley Park Zone Substation to the new site in Polding Street.

UEA Electrical will also be upgrading the switchgear in an existing substation onsite and installing two new 1500kVA pad-mounted substations to provide the new power supply to service the redevelopment’s increased capacity requirements.

Construction is forecast to be completed in May 2014.
