NEWS UPDATE: 25 August 2008Click to view news item UEA are proud to sponsor Goulburn NSW motorcycle rider Troy Herfoss in the American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Supermoto series for the 2008 season. Troy started riding bikes at an early age taking after his father Mark who was a multi Australian and NSW long track title holder. By the time he was 18 Troy was Australian 250cc and 450cc dirt track champion, he was noticed by ex road racing camp and Gold Coast Husqvarna importer Paul Feeney. Paul engineered a deal for him to ride in America for the 2005 AMA Supermoto season where he gained a 3rd in the Unlimited class in his first attempt and a 14th in the Premier 450cc class. In 2006 he limited himself to the Premier 450 class, this paid off with a 6th in the AMA series and a 1st in the Australian Supermoto series on the Husky. In 2007 he moved to the HMC-KTM team under the guidance of Mitch Hansen, Troy was fast all year and rode to a credible 3rd place. He has backed that up again in the 2008 opener at Monroe, Washington taking 3rd in a rain soaked race. He is keen and focused for the remaining races especially for the team's home track at Shawano, Wisconsin on August 24.
