UEA recently completed the first installation of a 1,200mm diameter SDR11 PN16 HDPE water main in Australia using a horizontal directional drill.

The first production Vermeer T1655 Terrain Leveler in the world recently commenced work in Western Australia. In terms of size this was not a step up from the previous model – it was a giant leap.

Staff at Wyong and Gosford Councils are celebrating with the successful completion of an Australian first - horizontal directional drilling under the Wyong River as part of the Mardi-Mangrove Link project.

UEA has successfully installed a 260m section of fused pipe under the Wyong River using horizontal directional drilling. It is the first time a pipe this size, length and pressure rating has been installed in Australia using horizontal directional drilling technology.
